After living in Tanzania for many years, we now live in the UK and enjoy working with Amigos Worldwide and Bees Abroad as we continue to be passionate about seeing local churches transform their communities!

A Box Carrying a Legacy

Two large cardboard boxes arrived this last week in Mwanza. They carried something of a legacy.

We received a call from the St Paul Bible College to say that boxes of books had arrived from the UK. We were thrilled to go and unpack these books, books which came as part of a legacy from Dad.
When he died, in lieu of flowers, many people donated money, of which some has come towards equipping and helping this Bible College in Mwanza. Dad loved the Word of God, he loved teaching its truth. His heart for pastors as well as his love for the Tanzanian Church was evident here when he spoke in the chapel at this College and with Tim at Pastors Seminars here in 2009, 2011 and 2014.
And so after his death, these books were ordered through Langham Partnership; books to help equip the college library, to help many new leaders and pastors in their studies and pursuit of their calling. This college teaches in English, and so these books (in English) will be so helpful. It is sobering that so little is available in Swahili, but we will also be looking for more books written in the national language. But now, these books have arrived; they have been gratefully received and placed in the college library. And Tim is eager to start teaching his courses with these course books readily available!
Thank you on behalf of the Monger family and the St Paul Bible College to those of you who gave so generously in loving memory of Dad. We know he would take great delight in this gift. Please remember and pray for this and other Bible Colleges doing such great work in teaching the Word of God and training men and women to lead churches that make a difference in their communities.
Tim with College Secretary, Margaret and the arrival of books!
